Hi, I am having our new Jack Russell neutered on Thursday. He is a year old and brand new to our home. He is very very excited and hope having him neutered will calm him down a little. Do you know how long after the operation it will take for us to see a change?

Castration will only help with hormone related problems, having said that he may calm down just a little, give it a few months! Its prob to do with his age and the fact he is new to your home more than anything!

Or the fact he is a Jack Russel - do not expect neutering to have much effect it may or it could make him remain a puppy for much longer, which I suppose you would think was worse.
