I am interested in purchasing a couple of standard poodles, both from sepearate breeders. I would like to know who has any for sale and their cost.

It's not wise to buy two puppies/dogs at the same time. It is always far easier to start with one and once the bonding/training period is over get another one.
None of the poodle sizes are common these days and if you want a quality one from a reputable breeder that carries out ALL the relevant health tests then you will have to wait as they usually have waiting lists or their puppies are snapped up straight away.
The parents should be tested for Eyes, HD and SA at the very least.

You should have a look at the Standard Poodle club web site. The address is www.standardpoodleclub.com They are having their championship show on Sat 8th November at Ryton-on-Dunsmore near Coventry. That is a good place to chat to people and find out about puppies. As poodlebabe says check if parents are tested for SA etc.
