Jack our sprocker pup is now 10 mths old is being a complete pain in the **** :D after having to sadly rehoming our springer bitch mum said 'i dont want anymore spaniels we arent having much luck with them', but silly mistake to make she came to see the result of a midnight rendevouz between a keen cocker and a flirty springer, so home came jack.
jacks training started well, clean within a week, sleeping right through the night after two weeks ,no chewing, no digging eetc etc, then....
my brother came down from manchester with jacks sister maddie, she taught jack the joys of digging but she unfortunely forgot to tell him that he could stop he doesnt have to see how long it would take to dig to Australia :D at the same time he learnt to dig jack became a very keen gardener trying to become the first to grow a tree that produces pigs ears, bones, tripe stix and any other doggie treat that take more than just swallowing to eat.
During the summer months we were invited to a BBQ at my work, this was the longest time jack had ever been left a whole 3 hours, we came home to a war zone so the next day home came a crate, great jack remembered the crate from when he was a pup so the crate was once again a permanent feature in the kitchen and bedroom, he loves it so much that when you are trying to unfold it he gets in it and refuses to move
two weeks ago Baloo the dog that im training at work came to stay for a week and yes baloo taught jack some new tricks shoe chewing yay! we have eaten at the last count one pair of work/riding boots, four pairs of slippers, two new pairs of school shoes, two pairs of sandals, a pair of trainers, and (as rhian my 4 year old sister calls them) one pair of witchy shoes, to which he took a dislike to the point and chewed just the point off :D do you think that people have learned to put their shoes up yet?
as im typing this jack has been banished to the garden to get rid of some of his energy (i dont think )
at 10 month old jack can chew shoes, garden, dig for england, run a wall of death on the settee, move furniture, decorate the bathroom with doggie prints, open the gate and let tess out, torment the cats by laying by the cat flap and daring them to just try and get past him, sound like a herd of elephants is running up the stairs the list goes on,
as of thursday Jack begins sniffer training, i wanted to do agility but jack doesnt know the meaning of 'over' (an A-frame at the mo i hasten to aid) unless his nose is attached to tess' bum :D
oh the joys better let the little 'darling' back in :)

Jack obviously "thinks big" and brings me great joy :D knowing other people are going through the blitzkrieg of doggy teenage time. Can we have a cutting off the pigs ear tree please? Morse has learned to jump stock fences today, rush over the quarry and tease the kenneled greyhounds, ambush his pal Archie and any poor dog walker with her crocodile of pooches before sprinting to mum, has eaten our stair carpet and perfected silent waste bin emptying. Hes also learned the joys of kids TV and waits for the kids return form school to riot at the stairgate until allowed into the living room. But hey its not all bad at least he dosent steal my fags to start a chase like a little Weim I know.

Now whos bum will Jack attach to for sniffer training? :D
