I have a pedigree Blen Cavalier King Charles and she needs a man!! I am in the London or Plymouth area. She is just over a year old and is very petite but extremely loving. I only want her to have one litter and do not have any idea how to find her a male.

I would be grateful for any advice / guidance on where to start.

Thanks

Before you consider breeding from your bitch she should have a current BVA/ISDS/KC eye certificate [$ also a clear heart certificate. These results will then be recorded at the Kennel Club. She should also be screened for slippimg patellas. She should also weigh between 12 & 18 lbs I am concerned that you said she is "peite" At just over one year of age she is rather young to be having a litter-18 months is the youngest a bitch should be bred from-this is about the time she would be having her third season.

Then I suggest you contact her breeder as they will know the bloodlines that are suitable for your bitch & if you do breed from her the puppies should be screened for heart & slipping patellas before they are sold
