I have a rescue Bully that I took from some not very clever people who had got him at 2.5wks old. When I first saw him he was 3wks old and he had a bowl of dry Beta Puppy and a bowl of cows milk. The owners thought he would just feed himself!!! This was on a Monday, The people were quite undesirable (if you read between the lines). I asked if I could have the puppy but they seemed to think that they could sell him later for hundreds of pounds. On the Wednesday I took my Mastiff bitch, they weren't to know she is a big softy, I told her to lie down and speak. They were terrified of her and did not stop me from taking the pup. I was moving house so I wasn't worried about repercusions. Any way to cut a long story short Vinnie is now 18mths old, has cost me a fortune at the vets and weighs about 9stone.
Now Vinnie has developed a tendancy to lose hair around his face and neck, when he was neuterd, when my partner and I split up for a while and any other time he ia stressed. Does anyone know what it is??
My vet said it could be demodecosis but the treatment does not have any effect. It is not bothering him and it eventually grows back.
