a relative of mine has an alsation, and I am worried about her. He has had for many years and you can tell they both love each other very much, the only thing is that she hasnt been vacinated for many years and i also think she is getting back leg problems, but its only noticable now and again. Now this relative is a doctor and thinks he knows best, but i know thats not true as only a vet is qualified to look at an animal. Should I talk to this person or should i take her to the vets my self, with or with out his permission.........

How about having a casual chat when out with the dogs or when you next meet just ask after her like " Hows Babe? How old is she now?" and say somenthing positive as you have here then wait and see what your relative comes out with. He may have reasons for not vaccinating his dog or be aware of her leg problems but too worried to address them, or feel nothing can be done at her age etc. I definitely would not be confrontational or try to force a vet visit without him.
