can somebody shed any light on the tempremant of goldens - are they really more likely to have rage - what is the story with them?

Rage syndrome used to be a lot more common...however, now, with good breeding, it can be very avoidable. Yes, it is seen more in goldens and blacks than any other colour, but as long as you go to a very reputable breeder, you shouldnt have a problem. Puppy farm and pet shop goldies can suffer from it though, so give them a wide birth.
They are fab dogs, I used to own a golden, I have a blue roan now. I did obedience shows with my golden and she was a very loyal and loving girl.

Golds are lovely so pretty . rage syndrome is out there but it is very rare! if you want to read up about it heres the rage webpage
