Hello everybody,

I hope you can help, just looking for some advice. My father-in-law has just bred Pedigree Labrador puppies for the first time. It was a litter on nine, but almost eleven weeks on we still have two remaining (this is because he didn't advertise them and i only took over three weeks ago, since then seven have gone). We really want them to go to good homes and am sure they will, however do you think we should get their needles so that they can go in the garden and have a bit more freedom? I think buyers would be pleased as it would save them the expense, but was just wondering what you guys thought?

Sorry if this sounds really silly, but am not sure if buyers would prefer to get the puppies vaccinated themselves?

Hope you can help. If you want to get in touch, please email me on northyc2000@hotmail.com

Thanks

Claire

Contact your vet for advice. If they were mine I would certainly get their injections started because they are missing out on vital socialisation - there are only a few weeks left of the 'window' when they do their major learning.

Do you seriously mean they have never been outside? My litters go out to play (in good weather of course) from 5 weeks - and they don't have their first injection till 10 weeks!

I agree with JG. Mine were outside in a playpen at 5 weeks. and i actually got all my pups 1st vaccs done befor they went to their new homes at 8 1/2 weeks.

good grief, :( my pups are out & about in the big outside world from 5 weeks onwards....they also all have their 1st vaccination before they leave me at 10 weeks. Surely these poor pups havent been shut in all their short lives? :(
