hi i am trying to trace the breeder of a german spitz mittel that my wife and i bought from a family on the isle of sheppey in kent around 6 months ago it is a male approx 24 months of age and goes by the name of buster we are trying to establish if he has a pedigree as we would like to offer his sevices as a stud dog at some time in the future we would appreciate any help that you may be able to provide i can be contacted by e mail my address is stephen.hatton2@btinternet.com thank you in advance

I hate to dissilusion you, but you are very unlikely to find any reputable breeder wanting to use a dog who has not at least done some winning in the showring! If you haven't got his papers (KC registration) then any pups he sired could not be registered, he may even have been sold with his papers endorsed, so that his offspring cannot be registered without the breeder lifting the endorsement.

If you are interested in breeding, I suggest you attend some shows, join the breed club, and learn aqbout the breed, so that you know what the desired characteristics of the breed are.

If you are anywhere near Coventry, I suggest you might like to give the Nordic show a visit. this is the one show in the year exclusively for Spitz breeds, you should find some exhibitors and breeders of your breed there. It is on Saturday 24th November at the Sports Connexion, Leamington Road, Ryton-on-Dunsmore, near Coventry.
