My 8 month old golden retriever chews me, but not my husband and I have tried to ignore him but to avail he just jumps high enough, or will wait for me to stop ignoring him then start again. He is very loving at other times. Whatelse can I try?

Have you tried yelping or crying in the same way that a puppy does? Our 5 month terrier cross stops immediately if he thinks he's hurt us.

This needs to be stopped asap - tell him OUCH firmly and offer a toy that the dog can mouth/chew/bite. I tell my cock-a-poo a firm OUCH and say 'get your puppy' (his universal word for his toys) and off he goes. You need to be consistent as it does take time since all that puppy energy gets the better of them at times. Good luck.
