max (my yorkie for those of you who don't know) has been biting at his back just in front of his tail for a couple of weeks now, yesterday and all evening he was also chewing his feet so i took him to the vets tonight and he said its because his anul gland was blocked. So he emptied it (phooaarrr! what a pong) anyway he also gave me some medrone tablets to stop the itching and make him more comfortable. So if your dog is chewing its feet its maybe because it has an irritation somewhere else on the body, and if its biting rear end it could have a block anul gland, max is a lot happier now and is sleeping peacefully :)
