Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / Boxer with strange lumps

Hi,
My 6 month old boxer came up in very strange lumps all over his body yesterday and the best way i can describe it is he looked like a bath mat.We phoned the vet and she said it was an allergic reaction to something and to give him piriton which we duly did and thankfully he's back to normal today. They didn't seem to bother him and he seemed fine but it was so bizzare.
Has anyone had any similer experiences and if so did you find out what it was?We have been racking our brains to think what could have caused this,he hasn't eaten anything out of the ordinary.Any help would be greatly apreciated, many thanks.

thats weird cos my pup had the same thing a couple of weeks back covered in lumps all over her body ,and her eye and mouth also swelled she had to have an injection, and then this week my sisters bulldog had the same thing happen!

It could have been an allergy to a wasp sting. Wasps are getting sleepy now, and are often "drunk" from feeding on fermenting windfalls. If this is the cause, you are going to have to be very careful, because any future reactions could be worse.
