Help

I've just discovered my shih tzu has eaten the bones of 3 Cooked Chicken Wings... SHe is due to whelp next weekend...

She looks fine and lively enough - but i'm worried to death...

advice please

someone has told me to give her bread to help the bones pass through without catching her stomach etc...

I'm really worried about toxins - my mum lost a yorkie who ate a cooked lamb chop bone - he ground it up completely and died from the toxins!

If she starts being sick I'll phone the vet.

i have 2 shih-tzu's,about a year ago ago one of them did the exact same thing as yours and she was fine:) as stated above keep a close eye on her,which your probaly doing anyway,my biggest worry was that the bones would cause an obstruction, so make sure she is pooing o.k. Maybe your vet may have some good advice for you,give him a call instead of going in as he will probaly charge you to tell you everything is o.k.Remember Yorkies are very fragile in every way,i would be scared to break it if i had one;)

Hi everyone

Well she slept soundly all night and even had a lie in this morning - went outside for the loo fine... and then tucked into her breakfast - a nice chicken and vege stew that i made for her!!

So worry and panic over with ;-))))

phew! - oh only 9 days to go!!!! :-)))
