I have a female and a male westie. They are 3 years old and will not breed. The female lays down when the male trys to mount her. He is happy with just doing it on her back. Any suggestions?

It is not unusual for house mates to refuse to mate. Are they well matched, have your researched their backgrounds and done the required tests. If so and the bitch is a good example of her breed I would suggest you use an experienced dog on the bitch and leave the poor dog alone.
