Please can anyone tell me how you find out about good stud dogs? I am looking for an English Springer Spaniel. My bitch had a litter with one puppy contracting puppy head gland disease, which we think was passed on by the father, I would like to know what I should be lookig for?

According to ' The Book of the Bitch', deep consideration should be given to the thought of breeding from a bitch again, that has produced a puppy affected by Puppy Head Gland Disease.

That advice alone would convince me that I should not do it.

I think it's almost impossible that the puppies father could be responsible for what is a bacterial infection.
