Hello

Sorry if this has been answered before, I've done a search but couldn't find the right info.

Last night I managed to get a look in Molly's mouth while we were playing (she's very fussy about being inspected) and was shocked to see all her front teeth have gone! I knew this was going to happen obv. but didn't realise they would all come out at once. She has four new ones breaking through at the top and only one on the bottom (not sure if this is new or hasn't fallen out yet). she hasn't shown any signs of being in pain, still eating, still playing like mad so I was just wondering if there's anything I should be doing? I feel really bad for not noticing sooner, but as I said she soesn't like to be inspected (we are doing training on this) and we haven't found any anywhere like we did when the cats came out (prob cause hers are stuck in the cat!!)

We are making sure she has plenty of access to everything she's allowed to chew but do I need to do anything else? Her new name is Gummy Bear! Bless her.

Sound fine to me, most pups do not suffer when losing their teeth, and they come out as and when the are ready, if you can see the new teeth then that is how it should be. She may want to chew more and providing something safe will help the loose teeth come out, my last pup chose a house brick, not to be adviced.

Hi Claire,

Nothing to worry about.

I find more so with me feeding raw bones etc all the puppy teeth seem to come out at once. My little girl was teethless for a week or so a couple of weeks ago then all of a sudden the second set appeared. I just check every week to ensure they are all coming in correctly..

As a matter of interest...how old is she?

She will be 18 weeks on saturday.

She lost the last bottom one last night and looks really funny. We were told by the dog trainer at her puppy class last night to put some childrens bonjela (??) on her gums for her. Does anyone else think this is ok? She doesn't actually seem to be that bothered by it.

If it doesn't bother her, leave it alone. If she is bothered, then Bonjela is perfectly safe.
:)

At least i know what to do when Sooty's start falling out. Puppy's are more like babies!

Nothing to worry about at all, infact you are lucky; my boy is losing his teeth one by one and bleeds a fair amount when he's chewing..bonjela is wonderful stuff! I can tell when he needs it and I get the tube out and he comes running across and sits infront of me waiting patiently for the bonjela rub on his gums!

Bob's playmate at work is a dalmation and he lost most of his teeth within a fews weeks and he had no bother with them and no bleeding.
