Hi all, just thought I`d let you know whats come back sfter talking with vet last night.
First off the vet only thinks it was septiceamia, the biopsy actually says there was no bacteria found but together with the other symptoms he doesn`t think it could be anything else.

When I said it had nothing to do with his cruciate he agreed, the biopsy report says there was signs of an ulcer between the caps of the joints?? of the stifle & thats what the vets here thought was arthritis & led them to the wrong conclusion of torn cruciate. My vet here thinks it possibly have been septic arthritis. But he doesn`t really know.

I`m not going any further with this, Laddies at peace now & I have to be too. I felt strangely relieved when I got back after finding this out & will remember that we did all we could. Anyway like I said just thought I`d let you know the final result`s.

Christine -it sounds as if not only you, but your vet too, did all that you humanly could have done for poor Laddie. You loved him & cared for him and he loved you in return.

Remember the good times.

Love Margot

It's so sad Christine And I feel so sorry for you but the unfortunate fact is, sometimes the veterinary knowledge is still not good enough to be able to supply an answer. Back all those years ago when I started vets had very few answeres. Things have moved so far that we very rarely fail to get the answeres but. . . As you say, in time we get to move on. We never forget but we are more able to say goodbye.

Love, John

So Sorry Christine,

You did everything you could, and your vet sounds great too.

You're right, Laddie is at peace now, and not in any pain.

Remember all the good times.

Take care,

Love

Thanks guys :) :)

I`ve got a poem that a friend sent me from another list that was written just for him I`ll put it on rainbow bridge tho so that he`ll always be remembered. He was the first pup born out of my first litter you know.
