my 6month old black lab has been on bakers complete since i had him at 8wks old, he has been fine and very healthy on bakers but my trainer told me pro line, is a better complete food and i should give him this, can anyone give me any advise on this, i personally think my dog has been fit and healthy on bakers so why change it.

I'd say the same if its not broke dont fix it! - the advice given by our vet on feeding. We fed Purina Puppy at first as this was what he ate in the cat and Dog Home but he got picky after a while so we fed him Bakers plus raw meat and it works for us. Other people have their own opinions.

I agree with Lorelei, if your dog is happy and healthy on Bakers, then stick with it. :)

A trainers job is to train you and your dog, not tell you how to feed your dog, if your dog is doing well on Baker then keep him on Bakers, it is a good and well used food.

thankyou to all,
my vet has said that my lab[Toby] is fit and well, and i think you are all right, he is doing well on Bakers so i will carry on with Bakers, my vet also told my that Bakers is a good complete food, can anyone suggest when i should put on Bakers adult.

Think he should be on junior now, but Labs are not my breed.

ok,
will try him on it, been very lucky with him so far he is very good at feeding time, still on three meals a day, think its time to give him two meals a day now,
thankyou

Don't take my word for it, have a word with his breeder about changing him over from puppy to junior, and do it slowly. In my breed I like to change over between 4 to 6 months but breeds are different.

I have seen some wonderful results through sticking with Bakers. Big boned and well balanced dogs are always the end product as far as i have seen.
Pro-plan on the other hand....
I have seen a number of dogs looking well out of condition, muscle development not up to scratch etc etc.
I would say stick to the bakers, seems to be a good food.
