What is the correct procedure in this scenario:

You want to enter a champ show but the judge is the owner of the sire of your dog/bitch. You have met him once when you took the dam for mating.

Does it matter?
Is it ethical?
Is it against the rules?

Please let me know what you think.

It does not matter
It is not against the rules
It in not un-ethical

When you have shown for a while you will know all the judges anyway, can't be avoided, and it makes no difference as everyone is in the same boat.

But couldnt this result in bias though ? Obviously if he picks the pup to win it reflects well on the judges dog

With numerically small breeds, there are likely to be many others sired by his dog (if a successful winner) - if a numerically large breed, he may not even recognise you, let alone the dog.

I know someone who went to a champ show BECAUSE their dog had been mated to the judges bitch!
