Just a quickie:
we recently started Molly (16 wks) on Tripe sticks and she loves em! The first couple she sat down and ate and wouldn't leave it until it was all gone. Now though she won't eat them. She gets very excited and takes them off you, but then she burys it (on the sofa, under a cushion, in her bed, under my husbands pillow - yuck!). This I realise is normal behaviour and have no problem with it, but I think she's forgetting where she's put them. So after a while I get them out and show her and then she goes off to bury it somewhere else.
Does she remember and I'm ruining her game by 'finding' them? Or does she want me to find them? Or should I just leave well alone?
As I say i've got no problem with it, in fact I think it's quite cute when she's burrowing away, but I don't know if our guests will want to sit on a tripe stick!!!!

LOL Claire,
Welcome to Westies, mine try and bury things with thin air..
I just keep the bedroom doors etc all shut. If I put a load of washing in front of the machine for 5 mins they hide something in amoungst it..
When you have more than one dog they bury things outside then sit guard over then..
You will soon learn her favorite places.
It is funny to watch. One of mine takes peace by piece of chicken outside to bury then digs it back up 10 mins later and eats it.
All part of the fun..

and as for the washing to go in the machine , put the clothes down for 5 mins and ull find so many things in it , my dog once buried a fresh bone outside 3 days later i wonderd what the hell she had in her mouth. ewwww!!!:D

It is very funny to watch her! Last night she buried one in my handbag! How lovely of her!
So shall I just leave her to it or do I give them back to her when I find them as I'm sure she forgets? Also, don't really want to sleep with a tripe stick in the bed with me!!!!! LOL
