Dog Lovers registration ..not worth the paper it is written on I'm afraid :( Anyone can write anything and claim it is a pedigree ..but only KC registrations are *worth* anything.

It soesn't surprise me that your frerinds pup has problems. the dog Lovers Reg club is used by commercial breeders (puppy farmers) and those who have pups that can't be Kennel Club Registered. This might be because the Dam or sires breeder placed restrictions on the parnets papers to try and prevent irreponsible breeding, or that the poor bitches are under age, had too may litters, so can't register with KC.

these kind of people are unlikely to have bred with health or temperament, let alone breed standard in mind, so these things are entirely down to luck.
