Thank you Julia & John for your comments. Please be assured Julia, that i am on a learning curve at the moment & i want to gain as much knowledge as i can & digest it all over a sensible period of time. I want my dog to enjoy her puppyhood & adolesence, before i would actually breed her. If the time came that i did, i want the confidence to know that i was being responsible about it all. I want to have her hipscored in any event,as it maybe in her interest to be spayed. Its just that my vet was honest enough to say he's not experienced, & it would be nice to know that i am going to a vet that someone could recommend. My vet ended up ringing around trying to find someone that was willing to do it,as i wasnt getting very far. I really appreciate it that you replied, i look at this forum every day & get so much out of it. Sometimes the comments make me laugh out loud, but best of all is the enthusiasm. Thank you!

Sorry - I've just come in on this thread - I haven't read the earlier posts - but you could check with Cambridge Veterinary College, which is where we take our mutts!
