Hi debb, is mum still feeding i hope she is so just one maybe two meals for pups i start them off on scraped beef just run the knife over the meat and you get soft pulp they love it just a small bit each.

I would offer them food first thing in the morning and again before bedtime - if they fall on the evening meal obviously VERY hungry then offer again at lunchtime the next day, but only a little, For the first few days I dont let them eat all they want unless the bitch's milk is failing, as over feeding can cause tummy upsets. I would feed the bitch seperately and keep her away from the pups for an hour or so afterwards so she doesn't bring her meal up for them. Keep a close eye on the bitch - make sure they are emptying her as before, her milk is best for them for a week or two yet and if you give them too much she may dry up early which is a shame for the puppies.
