Hi I'm looking for a Staffordshire Bull Terrier pup, ready for re-homing around December-time. Does anyyone know of any litters which will be available around this time? I would prefer something in Scotland or Northern England. Ideally I would like a male, black and white, but I'm flexible, but pup must be KC-registered.

Hav you though about registering with kennel club, it may be a bit early at the moment as puppies can not be registered until they re 8 weeks old, also try the breed clubs, look on staffords.co.uk for a list of breed clubs in your area they may be able to put you in touch with a breeder.

When did the KC bring in the 8 week registration restriction ? I got my puppy last year & he was registered at 2 weeks old

This year I think we had Ruby last year at 6 weeks old and was registered, bought Murphy in July this year and could not be registered until 8 weeks, with free insurance for six weeks from date of purchase.

Never heard of this, thought it was couldnt be sold till 8 weeks of age, but i reg my litter at 3 weeks of age, and the insurance starts when the new owners send the kc of to change ownership!!!!!

Well I've been all the way through the KC "red"book & the site & forms nothing to say they have to be 8 weeks old before they can be registered

Perhaps I have misunderstood but when I was looking at one litter I asked if I could choose my own kennel name as was advised that I could as he couldn't register them until they were 8 weeks and they were 6 weeks at the time anyway didn't have one from that litter but was advised that the litter could be registered but not each kennel name if I am explaining self correctly any went to have a look at another litter and purchased one of 9 weeks old on the of collection the registration forms witht the kennel name had come through with muphy's kennel name.
