Hi, I am looking for a sable coloured German Shepherd to use as a stud dog. I am not interested it being KC registered or things like that, I just want to allow my dog to have litter of pups so as to keep her generation alive. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who thinks that they can help me. I am in the NE Scotland, Morayshire, but would be willing to travel within reasonable distance.
Thankyou
Natasha

I seriously doubt any good breeder would sell you one be it pup or use a stud
dog they may have.
To breed just keep a generation going without doing any health checks just
so you can keep a pup???
Are you for real?????
Ask yourself is that a good enough reason to breed??
I apologise now if you intend to carry out hip scoring ,eye testing, haemophilia testing
etc carefully, vetting new homes, raising the pups so they are well adjusted and happy.
If you do get a litter of pups and parents not KC reg you would find it difficult
to sell the pups as those with paperwork.
If you are that intent go back and ask your breeder her thoughts on the matter.
There is no money to be made and alot of hardwork puppies can be expensive.
Please think long and hard,i'm sure others will be along to advise.

Oh I also forgot are you prepared to give a full after sales service and take back
and look after any pups that may come back to you?????

You can't just throw any2 dogs together what about temprements so important
to use dogs of excellent temprements otherwise your walking straight into a load
of trouble.Colour should be the least of your concerns??

Briony, you are upset aren't you, don't think for one moment it is a genuine post, it's a windup surely. Anyone wanting a pup from their dogs lines would go back to the breeder for a pup, not put the life of their dog at risk to say nothing of all the expense.
Calm down, I'm sure its a wind up, and with you it did work, didn't it. ;)

Hi,
When I read the post I did think it was a wind up,however just in case someone was stupid enough to possibly think about doing it, I replied.

If the poster is not interested in KC reg then they're obviously not intereted in hip scoring since you can't have one without the other!!!

YOU ARE A FOOL sorry to sound so harsh but thats what you are, no thought to the pups what so ever, no thoughts to your bitch who I may add should be your prime concern, what about the risks to her, and no health checks has your bitch been hip scored and what about the pups are you willing to take any pup that may come back to you anytime in its lifetime I FEAR NOT the breed can do without people like you out to make a quick buck,I am sure a lot of people agree with me on this one, I nearly forgot what blood lines are you looking for or is that not a priority as long as the dog is sable, what is your bitches bloodlines, also if you have already done all your checks why do you specifically want to use a sable dog, and I apologize in advance if you have done things correctly

i've just been walking dogs at the local kennels and there are so many gsd's in there several come in very nervous some aggresive all because of careless breeders and owners. its so easy for the wrong people to own them and then just get ridoff them without a thought.
fair enough if you are breeding with full checks and to the right stud dog and good homes are found.
if you just want one go to the breeder it will be alot cheaper and you can probably find one fromthe same lines as the bitch you already have
