i have a 8 month old female sbt up untill about 2 months ago she'd eat almost anything that was put in front of her but now i think ive tried a variety of food and she still turns her nose up, im trying to keep her on the pedigree complete puppy food and mixing things with it like scrambled egg,,tuna etc but it only works for a while,,,i have heard that this breed tend to be fussy but im running out of ideas.......

With her being a pup still ,are you giving her lots of treats as this may explain why she doesnt want to eat her food . How many meals is she on at the moment ?

i give her 2 meals a day as was told to do,,, she gets a few pieces of carrot in the day and a dog chew before bedtime,,,feels like im starving her but to see her you wouldnt think she had a poor appetite lol
what is a sbt? i see alot of dog abbreviations, most of the time i cant figure out what breed you guys are talking about, can someone please add some of the more common abbrev. and the proper dog names that go with them.
thanks

It is owners that train dogs to be fussy.

sbt is staffordshire bull terrier soz but get fed up with writing it infull as for the last comment if you read my first post i said she'd eat almost anything that was put infront of her as my other dog still does,, but as for the one im refering to she has changed in the last couple of months ,,nothing to do with the owner this time soz to sound snappy

I dont think it is owner who teach dogs to be fussy ... they are all individuals just like people. And as someone else previously mentioned Staffys arent greedy dogs
TOHME,can you tell me how to unteach my fussy brats? i have 2 shih-tzu's and i would do anything for them to eat whatever i put down for them,if we teach our dogs to be fussy surely there is a way to break the cycle??

Put food down if it is not eaten in 10 minutes take it away. Repeat until dogs realise that it is that or nothing! No tidbits treats or anything else between meals. No dog is going to starve itself to death; they are after all animals that raid dustbins, eat animal dung etc etc (LOL)
