Hi, I have heard the expression " haws showing " in Labs but I'm not sure whether its the red bit of the eyes or the droopy bottom eyelid that goes along with it.

Thanks Westie lover , i have a Newfoundland , and whilst she dosent show either red or droopyness in her eye my Mums Pup does ( same breed ) .Brred standard states that haws must not be showing , so we were trying to find out what part the "haw " was !
None are show dogs so it dosent matter in the slightest , but its nice to know thei fault etc.
Regards
Zoe

Hi all,

Murph's a lab and sometimes we can see the 'haw'...nice to know it has a name!:)
We don't show him either so it's not a problem. Strangely, they're more evident if he wants something such as food!!
