Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / DDB not eating enough?
- By ajacks [gb] Date 02.09.03 07:52 UTC
My DDB bitch is now 23 weeks old , shes a very fussy eater her breeder advised me to feed her Arden Grange from the time we had her . Obviously due to new environment she was a little fussy but left her food occasionally even after a few weeks . I changed it to Hills she did the same with this so I reverted back to AG due to its better protein / fat content . According to the recommended approx feeding she should be on 600 - 750 grammes a day . She's probably only eating 300 - 400 . She loves mackrel , tuna , cheese , eggs in with it but has now started to leave these , shes on 2 meals a day . Any suggestions? and will it harm her normal growth not eating enough according to her weight / size . I would estimate her weight now is around 30 kg.

Hi,

If she likes these types of foods best, I would change her to BARF, she will be healthy and grow well on that as long as you make sure you give the right suppliments.

Get Ian Billingshursts books and he will give you all the info you need.
