Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / Repnor Gold for 13 week old Puppy??
- By debbie88 [gb] Date 01.09.03 18:14 UTC
I have a 14 week old Norfolk terrier cross who does not seem very keen on her complete food or the tinned food the breeder recommended. A neighbour of mine who has kept dogs for 20+ years told me he had always given his dogs Repnor Gold and they have thrived on it. He gave me a bagful and said to give her a handfull of it with her usual food. WOW she devoured it, leaving her usual food in the bowl. Problem is I have looked at the Repnor website and see that Repnor Gold is for adult dogs and that a puppy should have Repnor Puppy and it should also be moistened!! My question is will Repnor Gold UNmoistened do her any harm?

Thanks
Debbie

HI, its ususally younger puppies that have their food moistened - she will be fine on dry I should think, but must have water always available. CHeck with the makers if you are not sure. I have never heard of this brand - who makes it?

Repnor Gold is fine for adults it is a high cereal based food and the reason they like it is because it has some sort of molasses on it. It is not suitable for puppies.
