hello everyone, i have two delightful boxer pups, 8 months and 4 months, my question is when should i expect the chewing to start? so far they have never attemted to chew any of my furniture even when left alone, which isnt very often, they have plenty of chewy toys perhaps this could be why, i have owned xbreeds and a dalmation in the past and they chewed every thing in their path. am i just lucky or can i expect major demolition any day now? they are the usual naughty bouncey lovable boxers in every other way, i just wandered when can i expect the joy of distruction? thankyou. sue.

I think it depends on the individual dog . If they have plenty of toys and arent left for too long you may be lucky :)
Gus who is 10 months now hasnt destroyed anything in the house. Just nibbled shoes if we havent put them away but has never attempted to eat any furniture . Fingers crossed it stays that way :D
By the way hes not crated when left alone either . I Think hes just a lazy pup who snoozes the day away

hello guest i also have a 4 month old red boxer, who is crated. Already he is showing signs of finding the sofa rather appealing, so to be left alone with the sofa is not a good idea.
I always think you should expect the unexpected?
They might not be the destructive type! If so count your chickens.
Someone will be along soon with a little more experience than myself.
