
My breeder had a pup born with a hairlip and no cleft pallet very fortunate there and he lived. By the time the new owners (pet home) came to see him they couldn't even notice his hairlip just a faint line is all you could see. He is now over a year old and as healthy as a horse, they send pics of him to her.
I agree to have the pup looked at by your vet and see what they think. Does the pup have a cleft pallet also or just a hairlip? I had one born with both and the cleft pallet wasn't to bad but the hairlip went right up to his nose like his lil nostrills were seperated, my vet said that it may close as he grows but if not then would require surgery. I had a friend that was going to take him but sadly he did not make it.
