Hi all ...im wondering if someone can help me. Hopefully a knowlegable pointer owner?
We are currently fostering Minnie a lovely terrier x dog ...with one unusual difference... she has the most amazing split nose.
Now i have done some research and as far as i can find on the net the only dogs with this type of nose are the Navarro Pointer from Spain or the Catalburun Pointer from Turkey and i believe these are both quite rare breeds.

Wow! Theyre different - looks like some of the Catalburun dogs have yellow or blue eyes like Weimeraners. See the Catalburun is described as a one man dog unlike our experience of ( one) Pointer......hopefully someone who knows genes can explain how this developed - is it a breed marker or a genetic sport that could occur in other pups?
