we are looking for a dog that would be obidient, kind, quiet (dosen't mind children) and wouldnt mind being left alone for too long. Any ideas??

Left alone for too long, how long is too long. No dog of any breed should be left alone for long on a regular basis.

Unfortunately they are not born like that, a lot of work has to be put in. If you are going to leave it alone for 'too long' you could try one of those robot toy ones, although I believe even they don't like being left!!

Sorry to sound flippant but I don't think enough thought has been given to such a responsibility, what will happen if it doesn't meet all your criteria?
