I am based in Epsom and i recently discovered a breed known as the Alano or Spanish Bulldog. in look they are very similiar to Dogo Argentino and Pit Bull but there legal and come in many colours. I was wondering if anyone knew anymore about this breed and whether there are some breeders anywhere in Britian. Any info would be great because i love the way they look and they seem to have a pretty sound temperament and make good pets??

There is no reference to a "Spanish Bulldog" in my Encyclopaedia of Dog Breeds.

They are not legal in this country.

as to be illegal they are not pitbulls but are they a pitbull type?
wat on earth is a pitbull type any way?
true pitbulls as most people who know them and i dont mean amstaffs have no conformation.
they can range in looks from whippets to american bulldogs.
