I have got a 12month old Weimaraner and I would like to stud him.This is my first time.A little advice would be gratefully appreciated.Firstly his he old enough and does anyone know of any possible mates?

Hi Guest, the way to obtain offers of stud work for your boy is this. Begin to show him, then have the relevant KC/BVA health tests done by an apropriate specialist, a vet check is not sufficient. If his show career is successful and his test results are good then breeders will approach you and ask to use him. Without this preparation I'm afraid the only people who might use your dog will be 'backstreet' puppy producers who have no regard for quality breeding or the ultimate longterm health and welfare of any puppies produced.
I hope you give showing a go, it can be good fun and you'll learn loads about your breed talking to enthusiasts that have years and years of experience. Perhaps your dogs breeder can help you get started.
