I am doing some research into this, including possible symptoms. Does anyone know of any good sites with accurate info?

Was this the disease that they were testing Hamiltonstovare's for a few years back?

Hi Sam

I was studing this disease earlier in the year and have quite a bit of information on it. If you email me I will see if I can answer any of your questions

Might be worth getting in touch with the Hamilton club, they can help you if it is.

Hi Sam
not sure if this is useful as it is not strictly dog focussed - my Dad has worked on this subject in the US but with respect to transmission of the parasite to farm animals, links to abortion in cattle etc. The US Dept of Agriculture website has some factsheets and if you do a search it will pick up research papers which might include symptoms in dogs.

My whippet was diagnosed with this a couple of years ago. He is only the fourth adult dog to be diagnosed with this. I have been told there is no long term diagnosis for this and that it could be one of the main causes for fading puppy but they cannot prove this because not many post mortems are done on pups. Jan
