Can anyone help please. I keep getting this message when I send/receive on outlook express.
The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'pop3.freeserve.com', Server: 'pop3.freeserve.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Sounds like there is a problem at t'other end .....check out the Freeserve homepage to see if there are problems there :)

Thanks Melody, just tried that and no problems on status line. I can get e mails by going through freeserve tho'. I looked up error message on tiscali but when i found the error it did not download the answer. I hate pcs when they do this to me.:(

i get that a lot too. drives me insane!!. i usually have to delete my e mail adress and re do it.

ihave tried it and all settings seem ok. if its not working by morning, guess i'll have to call helpline......50p a minute though........eeek!!!

Have you tried pulling out the phone line and giving it a bit of a blow. Just know that I've had a problem connecting a couple of times, done this and everythings been fine. Just wondered if there may have been a bit of dust causing me not to connect.

Haven't a clue but it's worth a try before paying a load of money on the phone!!!

thanks again all. it is working this morning . i phoned status last night and they said nothing wrong, but whatever it is sorted itself ovenight.
