Can anyone tell me the difference between 'Dog World' and 'Our Dogs'? I currently buy Dog World each week for forthcoming shows and show results. But, do the secretary's send the reports off to both papers or just one. It's just that I was at an open show at Kirby Lonsdale last week where my beagle won her class and saw 'Our Dogs' on their table and thought I may have to buy this - to see our name in print. If anyone has any info I'd be grateful. Thanks.

i tend to get both on occassion my pup reads one whilst i read the other. he likes to keep up to date with current affairs.

they sometimes take a while to get printed as well .
Depends upon how quick the judge sends them in .

I've always subbed to Dog World, but was getting frustrated this year when critiques were coming out faster in Our Dogs. A friend of mine who gets both talked me into subscribing to Our Dogs as well - did so at a show recently so got a BIG pack of goodies along with the subscription! Definitely worth doing at a show.

They are two different papers - different articles etc, so I'm actually enjoying having them both now. Plus wtih Our Dogs for an extra £15 you can access the members area on their website where they store their critiques and reports online as well.

Just to add to original post - I have both papers, as has been said previously they have different articles etc. If I had to just have one, it would be DW, as think there's more info in there - BUT critiques in OD are often more detailed, they definitely seem to cut them down in DW. They also sometimes print critiques on 3rd place where DW don't.

True - when I went back and looked throught he OD archives I realised that some of my critiques had been 'shortened' in DW - and in at least one case it almost changed the meaning of what was written!!
