I have an 11 month once long haired female shepherd and a 10 month old male flatcoat. The latter has chewed and eaten the shepherd's coat from neck to tail so she looks a real scruff. She's had two infections, treated by vet, tried bitter apple and Grooms coat conditioner. Flatcoat injected with Tardak to reduce sexual interest but continues to chew. Resorted to putting old teeshirt on shepherd to try and break the habit but this doesn't protect whole body. Breeder and vet consulted, any suggestions?

Yes, I found that 'Vic Vapour Rub' worked for this problem. Do not apply it to open wounds or sore skin, but to the fur. Good luck!
