I have a 10 month old Golden Retriever and she has a sore cracked teat. Any ideas what the cause could be? I have dabbed a tea bag around the area. Any other ideas would be good.

Try calendula ointment but as dogs find this very tasty then make sure you keep her away from it till it has soaked in or put it on whilst she is eating.

I would not tend to use tea on it.

When was her season - is she having a phantom and is she licking her teats?

Thanks very much for your input. She had her first season at 9 months and no I haven't noticed her licking, although she keeps biting her leg and has a small patch of bare fur.
