hi all,
i posted below re:tripe/fattening, asking where to source green tripe from.(i live in Australia) i cAlled up all the pet stores and butchers in my area and the common answer was "never heard of the stuff" i then called the abatoir and they told me it is ILLEGAL to sell green tripe or anything that isn't human consumption. So i just wanted to tell you guys how lucky you are to be able to get hold of all the stuff we cant get here.
i think this way of thinking is so stupid,they get to make $$$$ on the stuff they throw away and i dont think any human would be eating it anyway,it's such a shame my dogs wont get to benefit from it.

yes true,we have an overabundance of roo,but i cant help but think of skippy when i see it on the shelves,do you guys get the t.v series "skippy the bush kangaroo" over there?

Kangaroo tails are the main source of diet recommended by "Tom Lonsdale" the BARF vet who did the UK tour. Wish I could get some here! YOU are the lucky one!

we did get Skippy over here but not for a long time as far as I know. I forgot you only asked about tripe and were not feeding a totally raw diet. You see things a bit differently when you are looking for yummy economical meat, don't you Dawn;-)
