Topic Dog Boards / Behaviour / pup got to meet jack russell

Hi everyone,
we have 2 cavaliers one of them is 2 yrs the other is just 9 week's.
my concern is that, our friend's, got a jack russell last year ( he is 1 now ) from day one has always wanted to fight, my 2 yr old never shown any aggression whilst playing untill this JR started coming round fighting with him (in a playfull way ) he bites his legs ears everything you name it, however i dont like it and my partner say's he need's to toughen up and my friends think it's normal for him to play that way ( with other terriers i say ) cavaliers do not play like that, and my big one dont play fight with his other friends, they play nicely.
my new pup is worrying me to death, i dont want her to meet him because she may grow up thinking this is normal behaviour as the 2 yr was 1 when he met the JR, i am really scared that he will hurt her, he is so unpredictable, and my friend's keep asking when he can meet her....
any advise would be most gratefull,
is my partner right ! am i worrying to much ??
many thank's..

It would be unwise for such a small puppy to meet an 'over enthusiastic' dog. It's your house, your puppy and cavaliers don't need to be 'tough'. Quite simply tell your friend that her dog is not welcome until it learns some manners, what it gets up to in your friends house is up to them but you have rules and you do not want your dogs to feel threatened on their home turf.
