So there is something that can be done about puppy farmers now!
A woman has been banned from selling sick puppies to the public in a landmark court case.
Essex County Council used new powers to stop Loretta Bastin of Bailey Kennels, Wickford, from selling unhealthy puppies.
Mrs Bastin signed an undertaking at Southend County Court promising to abide by the Sale of Goods Act.
If she breaks her word during the next 12 months she could be sent to prison.

She is not a puppy farmer she is a licenced a pet shop and sells puppies that are bred in Ireland. Previously traded as Dobe Farm Kennels, Bonzo's, Chellie Kennels all from the same address. The case was brought to Court through Essex Trading Standards. It was a long road and still not over yet. I just hope that she sells a sick puppy (sorry for the puppy)and finds herself back in Court then the court may give her what she deserves a prison sentance a pay back time for all the sick and dying puppies sold.

Yes, let's hope that happens (although I don't like to think of any puppies suffering) and gets put away AND that it is well-publicised in the national press - it may jjust make people realise that it isnt all easy to breed puppies!
