Hi everyone
Poppy (near 8 months came into season 10 days ago). She seems well and apart from being a little quieter (and possibly hungrier) all seems well. We are going to a cottage in Norfolk for the week on Saturday and Poppy is meant to be coming with us.
When we go she will be on day 13/14 (or later if I missed the first few days!). Apparently the cottage is dog friendly and has enclosed garden, but how possible do you think it will be for us to manage. Would it be possible to take her for early morning walks on the beach, on the lead, before other walkers come along??
Would the spray I've heard about be useful?
Thanks for any help
Karen.

Is there anyway that you can arrange to kennel Poppy whilst you go away? The fact that the cottage is dog friendly isn't really the issue. Firstly, your bitch will be ripe for mating any time now and you are taking her into unknown circumstances and secondly, if there are other dog friendly cottages in the surrounding area you are very likely to spoil other peoples holidays. I know I would be very unhappy, if anyone bought an in season bitch to stay near my dogs :-( I don't think you will have much fun on your holiday if you are having to watch your bitch every minute either. I hope you find a solution :-)

I have found one kennel that can take her - but we will have to cut our holiday short unfortunately. Havent dared to tell hubby yet - he will be v. dissappointed as in need of much earned holiday :-(
Thanks.
