We are soon to move out to 'the country' and are keen to have a Deerhound bitch join us. We are not interested in breeding the dog; rather, we like the breed and want a lovely pet. I'm aware that some breeders occasionally sell dogs that aren't quite 'perfect' by show standards -- and it is this dog we're most likely after. Any suggestions, leads and/or ideas?

most puppies bred in any litter wont be perfect. they are more likely to be mostly pet quality. very few puppies turn out to be show quality. have a look for deerhound breeders in your area and you are sure to find what your looking for.
