Hello
It depends on what medicines you are after. If it is a POM medicine (prescription only medicine) then the answer is a straight out no. You would not be able to get that elsewhere, and if you did, it would be illegal.
Why dont you register and then give us a bit more info on what you are after. Vets sell hundreds of medicines, you would need to be a bit more specific to get a proper answer.

Hi,
Try
Vetmedic - of course for certain medicines you'd need a prescription from your vet.

Vets are legally obliged to give you a prescrition to get dispensed elsewhere if you dont like their costs for the medicines. However a lot are still very unwilling to do this, and get round it by saying they will only prescribe for a small amount (if it is an ongoing pill, say a weeks worth,) and then make a large charge for issuing the prescription. If you think your vet is really overcharging you (and a lot put incredible mark ups on medicines and goods) then why not consider changing your Vet to one who is more reasonable and sympathetic?

Our vets wanted to charge us £355 for 2 months supply of tablets that I could get from Vetmedic for £14.50, this is just not fair that they can mark their prices up so much, I want to change vets but it seems most do the same. Incidently I refused to pay the vet for the tablets so he didnt get my money.
