Hi Christine

One of my friends wants to take her dog to the show in Spain in December. Right, so I need an export pedigree where do I go from there? How do we contact the Spanish Kennel Club?

I hope that Alicante is ready for about 11 British mad Spanish Water Dog fans. I don't think they'll let us back in Spain after this long weekend:D

The KC used to have a leaflet 'competing abroad' and it gave lots of info on who to contact what to do. The web site www.the-kennel-club.org.crg.uk may have it for you to download. Mine may be out of date but it says Spain contact details are administracion@rsce.es / www.rsce.es
tel 0034 91 426 49 60 fax 0034 91 435 11 13 . Export licence you need fom the KC if memory serves me right you will also need a certified 5 generation pedigree to send off too. Good Luck with your show

Hi Diane. first thing she needs to do is rabies & blood tests for pet passport, if he isn`t already done it may be too late!(or maybe the dogs already done?) Are you flying or driving over & where are you staying when you get there? Why do you need an export ped, if your taking him back with you just have to give his registered no. date of birth, name, breeder name, dam & sire & chip ot tattoo no, colour, sex, what class to enter him and owners name. I can send you what details you need, and fax/email them a copy of his ped & all his details. I have mine typed out & then email or fax them. When you enter him for the show you have to send the entry fee 32.50 Euros through the bank or giro & a copy of the receipt to them with your entry, but they usually have 2 dates for closing & if you send it in for first date it will be 26 Euros. If you need to get in touch with the club you best get in touch with the Alicante one, tel no.(0044) 965 20 87 30 fax (0044) 965 21 24 70 open from 9am-2pm & 17pm-20pm, don`t know the email addy. The Spanish club web is below

http://www.rsce.es/eventos.htm

Then go to calendario general tho the info they have is only the date of the shows. Let me know if this is enough info but I won`t be able to get baCk till later tonight or tomorrow.

Christine you are a god send:D

Yep, she already has her pet passport and she's going to be flying. She has her own apartment over there so we've got no problems with that side of things.

Thank you once again you wonderful person!!!! She will be so pleased.

Take care and maybe one day I'll see you in sunny Spain.

Diane

Hi Diane & Borders, when my dogs where registered in Gib (another country & so the same as for UK or anywhere else) never needed export ped to show, the only time I needed it was when I had to re-register my pups in Gib KC, that I brought from UK. Also I`ve never had to send any entries for shows to RSCE, except when I`ve entered for Madrid shows, thats the headquarters. You send your entries to the club of the area, and there are a few areas in Spain so a few different clubs that all come under the RSCE! :) Hope Ive explained that so you understand. If your going to Alicante you have to send entries & monies to fax no. I gave you & they will sort it, cos I`m not sure if they come under Valencia. It will come out in the dog mags here either Sept/Oct & I can let you know exact then, or you can give them a ring & if/when I have a min I will look out my old entries & pass the info to you, but I know thats how I`ve always done it. Would love to drive up to meet you all but will have to see how things are here :) :)

Christine, Spain.
