I cant believe it, the one thing I want Darcy to eat and she wont
Bl**dy Typical!
After several peoples advice I swapped Darcy onto Burns and she is just not interested into it at all
I did it gradually, but as soon as the meat was significantly reduced she refused to touch it
Is there any point of putting on her Burns and then mixing it with Pedigree Chum
She just wont eat a completely dry food!
Any suggestions????

Hi Rach!!!
Have you tried adding some water instead of a wet food on top of the burns? Generally speaking, mixing 2 complete meals isnt recommended as they would get too much of certain things, e.g protein.
What about just adding a bit of boiled chicken if you want to add meat? This usually atracts them.
oh..I have just managed to get a proper go on the web, so will reply to your email now :)
How is her eye by the way?
Take care

Steph,
Mixing two complete meals is fine. It's mixing a complete with large quanitities of a single food (only meat,or only veg, or only grain) that is to be avoided.

I add some warm water to Stars. She likes venison burns. Sometimes I add about a tablespoon of tripe. It is the only complete food that Star will eat.
Hi Rachael
I feed my lab on Burns with a spoonfull of pedigree Chum or tripe.I used to put half a tin with the burns then slowly reduced the chum and up the burns.cleans the bowl everytime.
What food have you change Darcy from?

HI Rachael, Mine all have a lump of tinned meat ( butchers tripe) mixed in with their complete - they look at me with wobegone eyes if I try and leave it out and then eat very little. As the Burns is lowish protein it probably wont matter if you add a bit of squished up meat if it keeps her happy. Mind, with this heat they are all eating less - and aren't interested in grub at all til after dark and its cooler.

Hi Rachael,
Murph has raw and Burns. He will not eat the venison but like the chicken and rice! He really likes it with sardines in tomato sauce mixed in!...you just have to reduce the quantities suggested according to what you add.
