Don't know if anyone can help.
But I've never been to this venue before, what is the car parking like, any shade,
is it near to the rings/venue? (Do I need to take my trolley?)
Catering is it expensive or reasonable?
I have instructions on the schedule how to get there :)
But are there any roadworks that I should be aware of and allow extra time for?
I'll be coming on the M25 from Reading (M4)
Thanks

Hi,

I'm just being nosey really but , when are you at Maidstone? Will there be any dobermanns there?
I haven't been there for ages but there is plenty of shade in a covered parking area. The cafe used to be quite cheap and the rings are very close to the car park.

Hope this helps

Sunday 17th August.
I don't have the schedule with me at mo.
It's the Kent County canine show.

Hi Kirstine,

Very compact place, with a 'multi storey' type car park giving plenty of shade, so you shouldn't have any problems. In directions I had, was never told to look for Lock's Meadow, and that's the vital bit to watch out for to make it easy to find. Catering's reasonably good and reasonably priced, as I remember it.

Don't know about roadworks, though.

Great Thanks Marina. :)

You will probably need to get there reasonably early to get in the shade as I imagine everyone will have the same idea and some clubs use the car park as their outside rings.

Food - they do all day breakfasts which are very reasonable (the main reason I go to Maidstone :) )

Generally not far to walk. There weren't any roadworks on most of the M25 that you will be traversing last Sunday but these things can change.

Great thanks for the info.
Someone had mentioned about the breakfast being good :)
I always check the AA and RAC websites but a little local knowledge
is always good too :)

Don't know about good, these breakfasts seem almost legendary - everyone who talks about this venue mentions the breakfasts!! Must try one next time :D

Great look forward to seeing you there hopefully you'll be there with Willow.
Doubt very much at this moment in time that I'll take the ol' bag even thou
she's entered NFC it's just so hot at the mo, I think she'd be better off at home
with the other 'arf. But I'll have the infamous 'swimming' Abby with me :D
Maybe we'll have to have this infamous breakfast that they all talk of! :D

Great look forward to meeting you there.
I'm normally dressed in purple/lilac (I've got short hair now and am 5ft 2 tall, LOL just incase anyone else dresses in purple)
and have a tall brindle and white Boxer bitch and a chunky red and white Boxer bitch
but I doubt very much I'll have the red girl there with me unless it cools
down dramatically.

Kirsty

I went there for a show earlier in the year ans even though i did not have a breakfast that day , i must admit they did look pretty good and very tempted for next time.
Like i said i am going anyway so we will have a mug of tea together at the very least.
Also just a quickie , did you say that you were going to Driffield , can't remember what you said , as i was thinking of going up the night before again and staying at the same place that we did last year as it was less of a rush in the morning, and that was a good breakfast if i remember rightly.
Let me know as i want to book it soon.
