Can any of you computer bods please help me - I've changed internet providers, and now, for some reason, I'm unable to send out emails!! At the moment, my only means of communicating on my computer is ChampDogs!!! (thank you, thank you)
I've tried all the usual things - I think - but obviously I've mis-coinfigured something - so if anyone can send step by step instructions I would be grateful - otherwise it's the dreaded ISP providers' helpline :(

Have you changed your SMTP and POP3 server addresses to your new ISP providers? Who is your ISP?

I've changed to ontel for both phone and internet from BT - £13.99 for unlimited local & national calls (and calls to hong kong @ 7p per minute) and £9.99 for free 6pm-8am & all weekend internet access - all I've got to do is get the connections right!

Ok - can you receive emails ok?
Go to Outlook Express/Tools/Accounts/Mail - under there should be your mail accounts... double click the one you normally use and look under "Server Types" - whats under there for the SMTP and POP2 settings?
Also - do you use an external mail - or are you still trying to use your old isp? :)
Have you tried the technical suppoert on the one.tel homepage?
That will give you the email settings without phoning for support.
You didn't say if you were using new email account or old one from previous isp, if you are using old one that will let u receive mail but not send any because u are dialled up to the new server.
Hope this helps.
regards
